Linux Native
Everything runs on Linux. Our dev environments, our servers, our HPC nodes. Students learn the OS that powers 97% of the world's servers.
FOSS First
We default to open-source tools. No lock-in, no black boxes. If we use it, you can inspect it, modify it, and contribute back.
CSC Powered
Students get real access to CSC national computing infrastructure including Puhti, Mahti, and LUMI. Real HPC, not a toy cluster.
Who We Are
IAMAi is a department within Kajaani University of Applied Sciences (KAMK), Finland. We're a small, focused unit with a strong bias towards practical engineering skills, open-source contribution, and real computing resources. Our graduates go on to work in data engineering, ML engineering, AI research, and platform roles.
